Hot News
Sfara and CCC help insurers connect accident data to claims
Participating CCC customers can now get Sfara’s intelligent mobile crash data in their existing CCC workflows. This significantly advances efforts to create end-to-end, straight through processing (STP), from impact to claims resolution, including FNOL.

Sfara brings critical thinking and innovation to otherwise commodity telematics programs

At Sfara, we’ve re-imagined telematics for the mobile world, infusing it with innovative features and methodologies.

Telematics programs are fraught with hidden challenges and program-killing inadequacies. Sfara has been shining light on these dark places, studying them, and creating features that solve problems.

Others are starting to imitate, but remain far behind. In field and trial tests conducted by enterprises, Sfara outperforms the prime players in the industry by a wide margin.

Sfara was founded and is employed by many pioneers of the connected vehicle industry. A decade ago, we faced the challenges of enterprise telematics programs. We’ve been dedicated to overcoming those challenges ever since.

Sfara’s exclusive ultra low-speed detections
Reliably detect where most incidents occur

A long-standing industry goal is now reality. Sfara’s AI-based algorithms detect crashes at ultra-low speeds, while also minimizing false positives with our many suppression techniques.

Now you can reliably detect incidents where the majority of them occur, in the lower speed bands. Approximately 70% of insurance claims are from incidents at low speeds. If you don’t want to miss the majority of incidents, you must reliably detect incidents in the lower speed bands. Only Sfara offers ultra-low speed detections with the reliability necessary for an enterprise program.

Use Case Video: Claims Automation Starting with FNOL
Contacts you moments after the incident, when the vehicle is still on the scene. Currently, only 12% of FNOL occurs on scene.
Sfara’s exclusive false positive suppression techniques

Detecting high-speed crashes on a smartphone is one thing, but confidently and reliably detecting low-speed incidents is altogether another thing. It requires game-changing technologies and methodologies.
Ultra low-speed detections can only be reliable when balanced with false positive suppression, which is the obsessive focus of our many suppression techniques.

We’re Obsessively Focused on Eliminating False Positives

Of known third-party tests and trials, they have all concluded that Sfara has the best false positive suppression rate in the industry. While we won’t go into the details of how it works, the results will be all you need to be convinced.

Data processing and normalization

As part of our enterprise focus, we obsessed on developing the best methodologies to process, transfer and normalize data (across scores of smartphone models). Our patented, on-device processing reduces data latency, consumption, and offers a significantly stronger privacy architecture.

Focus on privacy

We don’t believe people should give up their privacy to get enhanced safety or collision services in their apps. So, we developed with privacy and respect for drivers as primary goals. In our anonymized data model, we don’t even know the names of your end users.

Why we often use the word “incident” detection instead of “crash” detection
From our perspective, detecting high-energy crashes is something we resolved several years ago. But detecting incidents at lower speeds, the kinds of incidents that you might not call a crash, or a collision or accident, such as an event in a parking lot. Instead, it’s just, well… an incident. As a result, we like to differentiate our advanced incident detections in ultra-low speeds from the mass of commodity crash-detection solutions on the market. Our technology is so sophisticated, it detects incidents, in addition to crashes.
